Four Tet is set to let loose even more of his music-making wizardry with a new album on the horizon. Radio legend Mary Anne Hobbes premiered his new track ‘Road Of The Lonely Ones’ on her iconic BBC 6 Music show which gives fans a taste of the acclaimed producer’s upcoming LP: a collaboration with producer Madlib.

 

Sound Ancestors is two years in the making and will consist of Four Tet reworks and arrangements of new Madlib material. Announcing the album on his Instagram, Four Tet delved into the creative process that went into constructing the record: “We decided to work on this together with him sending me tracks, loops, ideas and experiments that I would arrange, edit, manipulate and combine”.
