If you’ve seen the Billy Chip in and around the city, you may already be familiar with their mission to help the homeless. But perhaps you haven’t, so let us bring you back up to speed: the Billy Chip is a blue token that can be purchased from participating businesses and passed onto rough sleepers who can exchange it for hot drinks and food.

In exciting news for the initiative, they’ve announced their newest partnership with the leading South West cafe chain Boston Tea Party. Six franchises across the city, including the Stokes Croft site and Cheswick Village near the UWE campus, will be taking part in the campaign. Next time you’re popping into your local BTP cafe for a takeaway coffee (don’t forget your reusable cup!) or a hungover brunch, consider splashing an extra bit of cash to help those most in need in the Bristol community.
